I am a massage therapist, a theater person, electronic technician, art historian, and am completely afraid of writing. So I figure I better face the fear cuz it aint leaving on its own. I have a swell eleven year daughter and an extremely busy but wonderfully supportive husband. I need safety to write, lots of safety and I trust Nancy and Gerry to be my safety patrol. I am honored to be here. I live on Jamestown, RI. I sail, hike, cook and read as well as a bunch of other stuff.

I don’t even know if this is the place for “short bio” or not. Since I cannot give comments for the article which
is not printed here, let me give you a bio because I am here: I left my country (Yugoslavia then and Croatia now), at the age of 23 to marry a Foreign Service Officer.
It was not to be. I got a job at the International Monetary Fund and that was good etc.etc. Now in the automn of my life I am trying to be a writer and that is very good.
PS: female, widow, 68yrs young, 1 brilliant son and 4 extraordinary grandchildren. What do you say to that?

I am 68 years of age and a massage therapist. I have raised 5 children and have 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
I began writing October 2006 one Sunday afternoon, just after listening to Nancy’s show on Lime. My book is happily now at the editors.
I began waking up with poems shortly after starting the writing. I know that the inspiration came from Nancy and all of you who shared.
I submitted several poems to Nancy on her current topic. I did have the honor of reading several times on the air and have had a couple of my pieces on this blog. I am so grateful for the support and encouragement I have received here in this venue.
I love reading the brilliant way each writer shares the twists and turns of words as the heart unveils.
Thank you,
Judy
