I am a massage therapist, a theater person, electronic technician, art historian, and am completely afraid of writing. So I figure I better face the fear cuz it aint leaving on its own. I have a swell eleven year daughter and an extremely busy but wonderfully supportive husband. I need safety to write, lots of safety and I trust Nancy and Gerry to be my safety patrol. I am honored to be here. I live on Jamestown, RI. I sail, hike, cook and read as well as a bunch of other stuff.

I don’t even know if this is the place for “short bio” or not. Since I cannot give comments for the article which
is not printed here, let me give you a bio because I am here: I left my country (Yugoslavia then and Croatia now), at the age of 23 to marry a Foreign Service Officer.
It was not to be. I got a job at the International Monetary Fund and that was good etc.etc. Now in the automn of my life I am trying to be a writer and that is very good.
PS: female, widow, 68yrs young, 1 brilliant son and 4 extraordinary grandchildren. What do you say to that?

I am 68 years of age and a massage therapist. I have raised 5 children and have 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
I began writing October 2006 one Sunday afternoon, just after listening to Nancy’s show on Lime. My book is happily now at the editors.
I began waking up with poems shortly after starting the writing. I know that the inspiration came from Nancy and all of you who shared.
I submitted several poems to Nancy on her current topic. I did have the honor of reading several times on the air and have had a couple of my pieces on this blog. I am so grateful for the support and encouragement I have received here in this venue.
I love reading the brilliant way each writer shares the twists and turns of words as the heart unveils.
Thank you,
Judy

I am back from the land of the Upside Down. Not Australia, but eye surgeries that kept me in contorted positions fit for Cirque de Soleil. Now upright, seeing, and looking forward (ha ha) to jumping in. (And no, I’m not in my 90’s.)
What else?
* Veteran of many Nancy workshops. Or is “addict” more appropriate?
* Get paid to write ads, websites, and emails… It’s fun.
But I need to write my own stuff that bubbles up inside. Capiche?
* Live 10 min. from the beach in the Newburyport, MA area,
with great hubby and four 4-legged “children”: 3 cats and
a golden retriever.
Love your stories. Hope to add my own soon!

Hi Nancy,
I just found your blog and wrote a short post on my blog. I plan to write something more in depth. I just got very excited in finding your blog, since the name of my blog is very similar and I your philosophy of writing really speaks to me. I have only recently started writing “again” and made a commitment to write something every day.
Best Wishes,
Yvonne
